Our Project
NET REFUGEE - Empowering Young Refugees and Migrants for Entrepreneurship
About:
The NET REFUGEE project is a dynamic initiative aimed at facilitating the integration of young refugees and migrants into European society by equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed for entrepreneurship. With a focus on promoting inclusive entrepreneurship, the project aims to break down barriers and create equal opportunities for young refugees and migrants aged 18-30. By fostering diversity in education, training, and self-employment, NET REFUGEE seeks to enhance economic, social, and cultural inclusion while reducing unemployment rates among this demographic.
Objectives:
-
Provide financial stability to young refugees and migrants by imparting knowledge about entrepreneurship, social support, and equal opportunities.
-
Offer comprehensive guidance and resources for starting a business, including entrepreneurial and soft skills, administrative and legal information specific to the host country.
-
Encourage social integration in the entrepreneurial sector by helping participants understand the business culture of their host country while embracing their own cultural identities.
-
Motivate and inspire young refugees and migrants to explore entrepreneurship, emphasizing self-employment and business ownership as feasible career options.
Why This Project:
In Europe, unemployment rates for non-EU migrants are significantly higher than for native-born citizens. Young refugees and migrants face particular challenges in accessing the information, support, and resources required for entrepreneurship. NET REFUGEE aims to address these disparities and tap into the untapped potential of this demographic to drive economic growth and social stability within the European Union.
Benefits of Cooperation:
NET REFUGEE is a transnational partnership involving organizations from different European countries. Collaboration allows the project to develop a transnational approach, sharing insights and methodologies from diverse national contexts. The consortium's distribution and the involvement of associated partners from various backgrounds ensure the broad dissemination and implementation of project results and resources.
